I don't know where I stand with anything. I just know that I've been spiralling further and further inwards because of things with me and around me, and recently I went into meltdown and caught other people in the middle of it. The problem with defining yourself by aht you do or try and do and by always trying to be waht's needed is that you're never yourself, and there's never an end in sight. Too much silence makes me turn inwards, and there's never been anything inside me I've liked the look of.

I've been told that just taking my LJ down has worried a few people and upset a few more, which wasn't my intention - I'm not even sure I've been thinking enough to even have an intention. I've put it back up so that the owrk by other people can be seen and to prove I'm still alive.

Anything more than that is still... undefined, I guess.

Kandyse McClure took me by surprise - literally. I walked out from the heavily overpriced bar clutching three drinks, much to the amusement of the Jedi chefs who'd been lining the exit waiting for Aaron Douglas to appear (which confused the hell out of me), sat down at the table, handed the drinks out to wulfgrl71 and helly_uk... and discovered Kandyse sitting directly opposite me, smiling away. Yup. Me? Nervous? Just a tad.

Did I mention I tend to babble and say stupid things when I'm nervous? Given that I'm obviously invested in the character of Lee, I was actually more interested in hearing from Kandyse than any of the other guests, and I managed to ask a few questions I'd been pondering for a while, to help with my attempts at writing. I have to say, Kandyse was very pleasant (and has a good handshake). She was modest and chatty, full of enthusiasm for what she was doing and entertaining to listen too on the stage. All of the guests joined in the end of day parties enthusiastically, and it was quite an experience watching Kandyse teach the dance floor how to do the electric shuffle... although I think the Star Trekkin' dance rather caught her by surprise!

Aaron Douglas is quite the life of any party going - capable of being as deadpan as Jack Dee and possessed of a sense of sarcastic humour that's downright soldier-like. He also has quite the eye for the ladies, judging by the comments going around, and can spot a smutty joke a mile off. Often because he's making them... and he can swap banter with the best of them, as evidenced when the Paul Campbell's second talk ran out of questions (heat, alcohol, tiredness and lack of brain activity being varyingly responsible) and hopped up on stage with Dan Bacon to carr on enlivening the performance.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering... according to James Callis, it's apparently Baltar-Star Galactica.

Aaron also ran the triva competition with various prizes being handed out (signed BSG magazines, photos, a S3 script... for Smallville) which wulfgrl71 and helly_uk both did scintillatingly well, winning prizes each, and he auctioned off a t-shirt signed by most of the cast apart from Michael Hogan, Mary Macdonnell and EJO for a princely £320 for charity. Oh, and he's an evil shot when it comes to throwing chocolate bars into the audience...
